And I'm spent...

She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.......

in Boston today... I think Mother Nature was feeling quite generous and kind for those of us returning to Boston on our late afternoon flight which arrived at Logan Airport at approximately 4:45pm.  The weather was not quite the same as the Turks but it was not that bad by comparison to the daily frozen tundra temperatures throughout most of January 2005.

Other than a bit of a peculiar luggage jam in the baggage return area which delayed my airport departure by 45 minutes, I made it through U.S. Customs without incident.   I am normally the person that Customs will single out to perform some invasive search into my overpacked dirty laundry and shoes.  Not this time thankfully, I was grateful for that.   Special Angel RDH picked me up at the airport to drop me at the Logan Park with the necessary parking coupon which I somehow forgot to bring with me, surprise surprise.   He saved me about $24 by bringing me that coupon.   Normally I would NEVER pay to park at the airport, but given the "snow" situation in good ole Southie, I really had not other choice unless I wanted to risk another snow emergency situation which would precipitate the towing of the MLD vehicle.   I am just guessing that the storage charge at the tow lot would be slightly higher than the discount rate at the Logan Park.   Just a guess....

It is currently 41 degrees which is balmy compared to last week when I left for T&C when it was all of 4 degrees... I left for my vacation with my hot water pipe frozen (again).   Luckily, it thawed and there were no bursting type incidents.

I tried to upload some vacation pics this evening but I had zero success getting my laptop to recognize my sister's camera that I borrowed for the trip.   I will give it a try again tomorrow.  I am utterly exhausted from my unsuccessful and feeble attempt to share my vacation photos!

Now that I am back from my masochistic adventure in the Turks, I am totally geared up to start assembling my travel plans for the World Tour.   I have decided that I am going to get myself over to Australia first and then take it from there.

Volleyball Vacation

January 29th - February 5th 2005

This trip marks the beginning of the MLD World Traveler Tour.    I am heading out to the beautiful Turks & Caicos Islands to enjoy the sights and scenes at Club Med, and also to spend time with my friend Derek who I met on the same trip last year in November.
